\"\"[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text el_class=”justify” css=”.vc_custom_1608131223615{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]In 2015, Tereos, via its entity Tereos Starch & Sweeteners Europe, developed a foodstuff based on plant proteins (wheat and chick pea) called \u201cSaut\u00e9 V\u00e9g\u00e9tal\u201d.\u00a0This intermediate food product was developed under the GenVie project and was recognised at the Concours Mondial de l\u2019Innovation<\/em> (World Innovation Awards) in 2015 by the DGE (Directorate-General for Enterprise). The process has now been patented.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Tereos officially opened its meat substitute pilot unit at the Marckolsheim site in Alsace, next to the group\u2019s R&D centre, in the presence of the Secretary of State for Industry, Christophe Sirugue.<\/p>\n

This foodstuff has now been supplemented by a whole range under the Epi & Co range: la Bouch\u00e9e V\u00e9g\u00e9tale, le Saut\u00e9 V\u00e9g\u00e9tal, l\u2019\u00c9minc\u00e9 V\u00e9g\u00e9tal, le M\u00e9daillon V\u00e9g\u00e9tal, l\u2019Aiguillette V\u00e9g\u00e9tale and l\u2019Escalope V\u00e9g\u00e9tale. Epi & Co is a balanced range. It stands out thanks to the low fat and salt content, and is rich in plant protein and fibre, has a Nutri-score A, is \u201cclean label\u201d certified (limited number of ingredients) and is GMO-free.<\/p>\n

Epi & Co also exists in an organic version and in a bespoke frozen version (for professionals producing ready meals, for example).<\/p>\n
