Le projet COBIOTERRE vise à identifier et à caractériser des combinaisons de leviers agroécologiques permettant de stabiliser et d’optimiser l’efficacité de biosolutions, déjà homologuées ou en cours de déploiement.

Le projet vise à améliorer les surfaces cultivées en orties dans la région Grand Est en vue d’une utilisation à destination de la filière textile. 
Le but est ainsi dans un premier temps de maîtriser totalement la production d’ortie à grande échelle en partant des semis, au travail du sol et à la bonne conduite de la culture jusqu’à la récolte. Dans un second temps, il s’agit de maîtriser la transformation de la tige pour l’obtention de fil tout en valorisant les parties secondaires de la plante (feuilles, bois, trichomes, racines).
